Vietnam and Russia are set to deepen their collaboration in human resource training and scientific research, as high-level discussions took place in Hanoi on October 7. The talks, led by Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and a visiting Russian delegation, focused on how both nations can leverage Russia’s technological expertise to meet Vietnam’s development goals.
The discussions underscored the importance of human resource development as a cornerstone for long-term cooperation. Both sides explored the potential for stronger connections between their educational and training institutions, as well as increased exchanges among experts. Initiatives for joint research and engineer training were highlighted as key strategies to bolster these ties.
In addition to human resource development, the meeting identified science and technology, innovation, energy, and oil and gas as promising sectors for expanded cooperation. These areas reflect a shared interest in not only enhancing educational and research capacities but also in addressing mutual strategic interests.
The talks in Hanoi represent a broader effort by Vietnam and Russia to enhance their bilateral relations through more substantive exchanges and collaborations in education, technology, and strategic research. By aligning their strengths and needs, both countries aim to achieve significant advancements in these critical fields.
