During a meeting in Shanghai, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul reiterated their dedication to enhancing the relationship between their two nations. The discussions centered around fostering advancements in sectors like artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and regional collaboration.

The leaders expressed their intention to broaden cooperation in emerging fields such as AI, aerospace, and clean energy. They emphasized the importance of speeding up significant connectivity initiatives, notably the China-Thailand railway and the rail connections that link China with Laos and Thailand.

In addition to technological and infrastructural developments, Xi and Anutin committed to intensifying their joint efforts against cross-border criminal activities. This includes tackling issues like online gambling and telecommunications fraud. Furthermore, they agreed to strengthen partnerships in tourism, education, and media sectors.

Thailand reiterated its endorsement of the one-China policy, a significant diplomatic stance in Chinese foreign affairs. Both leaders underscored the importance of peaceful approaches to regional challenges, specifically highlighting the situation along the Thailand-Cambodia border.

The meeting reflected a shared vision to not only strengthen bilateral ties but also to collaborate on a broader scale for regional stability and development. Through these commitments, both China and Thailand aim to establish a more integrated and cooperative future.
